My experience has been great so far. The deadlines for applications for the 2009-2010 school year has passed, but it’s never too early to start thinking about fall of 2010.
I’ve been watching my fellow Fulbrighter’s blogs and being in more urban locales, they are traveling a bit more than I am by train and plane. For those interested, I thought I’d link theirs up. Above are some of the 16 teachers (8 Indian/8 American) at the White House in August.
Last week (9/30/08) I participated in the National Screening Committee for Fulbright. Although I was supposed to go to Chennai for it, I did it remotely due to an illness. But other Fulbrighters have been visiting embassies, heading to the Himalayas, and other fun stuff!

Hi Matt,
I’m a teacher in the Boston area and I’ve just been accepted into a Fulbright teacher exchange program/educational seminar in New Delhi. (Awk. sentence; it’s no longer called the Fulbright?). I’m super excited, but also having trouble getting basic info. about housing/what I’d be doing on a day-to-day basis, technology available (i’d like to expand and update my blog), etc. Any insights you can provide would be awesome; i’ll keep flipping through your posts to see what I find.
thanks,
Rachel
