These are just some of the many animals that I have seen on my trip so far. I hope you enjoy them!
Above: Wild boar families roaming grasslands.
Above: Monkeys at a garden.
Above: Gecko in my house.
Above: Peacock on a roof.
Above: Spider in the forest.
Above and below: Elephant on the plain.
Above: The rain forest is teeming with leaches. I ended up with one attached to my ankle. It is hard to see, but it is dead center on a green leaf…like a worm.
Above: Tiger scratches on a tree mark its territory. The tree was covered in marks as we trekked through the Periyar Tiger Preserve.
Above: Almost like a blue Monarch butterfly.
Above: A frog blending in beautifully with the leaves on the ground.
Above: They want your ice cream cones…bad!
Above: Lake otters (quite large…maybe 20-30 pounds) eating.
Above: On top of the tree you can see the amazing colors of the Indian Kingfisher. Green wings with red/purple heads and back.
Above: Indian bison.
Above: The ever dangerous “wild rooster.”
Above: Tiger prawns ready for a boiling pot of water (they were delicious at dinner).
Above: A red dragonfly.
Above: Another Kingfisher.
Above: A small puffer fish.
Above: A friend tells me this guy is delicious on the plate.
Below: Added at 9am EST since the frog above is difficult to see…here he is zoomed in!

Beautiful! Couldn’t spy the frog, though.
Very cool… Had an opportunity to enjoy the “other” Kingfisher (beer) too?
Alas!……every animal is wonderful when it is in your plate………and then in your STOMACH……..ha…..ha….ha……..
India looks like a wonderful place!
