Student projects depicting famous landmarks in America and the state of Orissa in India
Awesome Statue of Liberty above!
The student and I explained what totems were to the teachers here.
At 5:00am I’m ready to head back to sleep on the bus. The students, excited to be out of school, pump up the music and start a dance party. Although I love to move when I hear I beat, it’s a little early in my trip and in the morning to start shaking it, despite the invitations.
The flags I brought are a hit!!! Hot fire!
Arriving at the KV in the Hill Station near Coonoor.
KV Aruvankadu is built within the complex of an ammunition plant (the government workplace for which the KV educates the children). The complex is built on an old British tea plantation and was assumed by the government when independence came in 1948.
The official opening!
Lunch on the lawn. You can see us eating with our hands.

Wow! Awesome. So enjoy reading this daily!
Great pics–especially the 5 AM dance party–you really captured the scene!
Kris and Jeff in Delhi
A lot of these kids are artistically talented
Good to hear from you, Victor!
I accidentally stepped on your website when looking for Aruvankadu where I grew up from 70 – 87. I live in the US now and just want to leave a comment that I enjoyed seeing the pictures and your acquaintance with Indian people. Hope you had a good time traveling around.

Juban
